National Child Passenger Safety Week

Did you know that 4 out of 5 child safety seats are improperly installed? Keeping children safe in a vehicle means not only putting them in the right child restraint at the right age, but also making sure those restraints are properly installed.

As part of National Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Week, scheduled for September 17th - 23rd 2017, the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is providing educational information to parents/caregivers that can be found at You will have access to links for CPS brochures, posters, and other printed materials available to the public; information about Missouri laws regarding child passenger safety; a link that will help you locate a CPS Technician or an Inspection Station in your area; and, a link to recall information on your child safety seat.

Please, take this opportunity to educate yourself about the importance of the proper installation of your child's safety restraint.
